爬山看日出（东东）

暑假shǔ jià里lǐ，东dōng东dōng和hé同学tóng xué约yuē好hào去qù爬山pá shān看kān日出rì chū。为了wèi le看到kàn dào日出rì chū，他们tā men凌晨líng chén三sān点diǎn就jìu出发chū fā了liǎo。

During summer holiday 东东 promised classmates to climb a mountain for the sunrise; to see it they set off at three in the morning.

山路shān lù很hěn黑hēi，大家dà jiā打dǎ着手zhuó shǒu电diàn筒tǒng慢慢màn màn往wǎng上shàng走zǒu。东dōng东dōng平时píng shí不bù爱ài运动yùn dòng，走zǒu到dào一半yī bàn就jìu喘chuǎn不bù上shàng气qì了liǎo。

The path was dark and everyone walked up slowly by flashlight. 东东, who rarely exercised, was gasping halfway up.

同学tóng xué说shuō：慢màn一yī点diǎn没关系méi guān xi，我们wǒ men等děng你nǐ。东dōng东dōng休息xīu xi了liǎo几jǐ分钟fēn zhōng，又yòu接着jiē zhe往wǎng上shàng爬pá。

A classmate said: slower is fine, we'll wait. 东东 rested a few minutes and kept climbing.

五wǔ点diǎn半bàn，他们tā men终于zhōng yú到dào了liǎo山顶shān dǐng。天tiān边biān刚刚gāng gang亮liàng起来qǐ lai，云yún彩cǎi被bèi染rǎn成chéng了liǎo红色hóng sè和hé金jīn色sè。

At five thirty they reached the summit as the sky brightened, clouds dyed red and gold.

太阳tài yang一yī点diǎn一yī点diǎn升shēng上来shàng lái，把bǎ云yún海hǎi照zhào得děi金jīn灿càn灿càn的de。东dōng东dōng觉得jué de，这zhè一路yī lù累lèi是shì值得zhí de的de。

The sun rose bit by bit, gilding the sea of clouds. 东东 felt the whole climb had been worth it.

下山xià shān的de时候shí hou，他tā想xiǎng：最zuì美měi的de风景fēng jǐng，总是zǒng shì留líu给gěi愿意yuàn yì早zǎo起qǐ和hé坚持jiān chí的de人rén。

On the way down 东东 thought: the finest views go to those who rise early and keep going.
