看牙医（小丽）

小xiǎo丽lì的de牙yá疼téng了liǎo好hào几jǐ天tiān，吃chī甜tián的de东西dōng xi的de时候shí hou特别tè bié疼téng，妈mā妈mā决定jué dìng带dài她tā去qù看kān牙yá医yī。

小丽's tooth had hurt for days, especially with sweet things, so Mom decided to take 小丽 to the dentist.

小xiǎo丽lì很hěn害怕hài pà，因为yīn wèi听tīng同学tóng xué说shuō看kān牙yá很hěn疼téng。在zài去qù医院yī yuàn的de路上lù shang，她tā一直yī zhí拉lā着zhuó妈mā妈mā的de手shǒu。

小丽 was scared, having heard from classmates that dental work hurts, and held Mom's hand the whole way.

到dào了liǎo医院yī yuàn，牙yá医yī先xiān让ràng她tā张开zhāng kāi嘴zuǐ看kān了liǎo看kān，说shuō有yǒu一yī颗kē牙yá坏huài了liǎo一yī个gè小xiǎo洞dòng，要yào补bǔ一yī下xià。

At the clinic the dentist looked inside and said one tooth had a small cavity that needed a filling.

补bǔ牙yá的de时候shí hou，小xiǎo丽lì紧张jǐn zhāng得děi闭bì上shàng了liǎo眼睛yǎn jing。可是kě shì牙yá医yī很hěn轻qīng很hěn轻qīng，一yī点diǎn也yě不bù疼téng。

During the filling 小丽 squeezed eyes shut in fear, but the dentist was so gentle it did not hurt at all.

十分shí fēn钟zhōng就jìu补bǔ好了hǎo le。牙yá医yī说shuō：早晚zǎo wǎn都dōu要好yào hǎo好hào刷牙shuā yá，甜tián食shí不bù能néng吃chī太tài多duō。

It took ten minutes. The dentist said: brush well morning and night, and not too many sweets.

走zǒu出chū医院yī yuàn，小xiǎo丽lì松sōng了liǎo一口气yī kǒu qì，说shuō：原来yuán lái看kān牙yá没有méi yǒu那么nà me可怕kě pà。以后yǐ hòu我wǒ一定yī dìng好好hǎo hǎo刷牙shuā yá。

Walking out, 小丽 sighed with relief: the dentist was not scary after all. I will brush properly from now on.
