井底之蛙（详读本）

一yī口kǒu枯kū井jǐng里lǐ住zhù着zhuó一yī只zhī青蛙qīng wā。井jǐng很hěn小xiǎo，井jǐng口kǒu只有zhǐ yǒu巴bā掌zhǎng大dà的de一yī片piàn天tiān，可是kě shì青蛙qīng wā觉得jué de，这里zhè lǐ就是jìu shì整个zhěng gè世界shì jiè。

In a dried-up well lived a frog. The well was small, the sky above it no bigger than a palm, but the frog thought this was the whole world.

有yǒu一yī天tiān，一yī只zhī大海dà hǎi龟guī从cóng井jǐng边biān路过lù guò。青蛙qīng wā得意dé yì地dì对duì它tā说shuō：你nǐ看kān，我wǒ住zhù在zài这里zhè lǐ多duō快乐kuài lè！

One day a great sea turtle passed by the well. The frog said proudly: look how happy I am living here!

我wǒ高兴gāo xìng的de时候shí hou，就jìu在zài井jǐng边biān跳tiào来lái跳tiào去qù；累lèi了liǎo，就jìu回到huí dào井jǐng里lǐ睡觉shuì jiào。这里zhè lǐ的de水shuǐ不bù深shēn不bù浅qiǎn，刚刚gāng gang好hào，我wǒ是shì这里zhè lǐ的de主人zhǔ rén。

When happy I hop along the rim; when tired I sleep inside. The water is just right, and I am the master of it all.

青蛙qīng wā接着jiē zhe说shuō：你nǐ也yě下来xià lai玩wán玩wán吧ba，我wǒ这里zhè lǐ舒服shū fu极jí了liǎo。

Come down and play, the frog went on, it is wonderful here.

大海dà hǎi龟guī把bǎ脚jiǎo伸shēn进jìn井jǐng口kǒu，可是kě shì井jǐng太tài小xiǎo，它tā连lián一yī只zhī脚jiǎo都dōu放fàng不下bù xià去qù。

The turtle put a foot toward the opening, but the well was so small it could not even get one foot in.

海hǎi龟guī对duì青蛙qīng wā说shuō：你nǐ见过jiàn guò大海dà hǎi吗ma？大海dà hǎi无边wú biān无wú际jì，几jǐ千qiān里lǐ的de距离jù lí，也yě不bù能néng说shuō清qīng它tā有yǒu多duō大dà。

The turtle asked: have you ever seen the sea? The sea is boundless; even a thousand miles cannot describe its size.

发fā大dà水shuǐ的de时候shí hou，海水hǎi shuǐ也yě不bù会huì变biàn多duō；天tiān旱hàn的de时候shí hou，海水hǎi shuǐ也yě不bù会huì变biàn少shǎo。住zhù在zài大海dà hǎi里lǐ，那nà才cái是shì真正zhēn zhèng的de快乐kuài lè。

Floods do not make it rise; droughts do not make it fall. To live in the sea, that is true happiness.

青蛙qīng wā听tīng了liǎo，眼睛yǎn jing瞪dèng得děi大大dà dà的de，一句话yī jù huà也yě说shuō不bù出来chū lái。它tā这zhè才cái知道zhī dào，自己zì jǐ的de井jǐng有yǒu多么duō me小xiǎo，外面wài miàn的de世界shì jiè有yǒu多么duō me大dà。

The frog stared with wide eyes, speechless. Only then did it understand how small its well was, and how big the world outside.

青蛙qīng wā问wèn海hǎi龟guī：大海dà hǎi真的zhēn de有yǒu那么nà me大dà吗ma？海hǎi龟guī说shuō：我wǒ游yóu了liǎo三sān天tiān三sān夜yè，还huán没有méi yǒu看到kàn dào海hǎi的de那nà一边yī biān。

The frog asked: is the sea really that big? The turtle said: I swam three days and nights and still never saw the other side.

从cóng那nà以后yǐ hòu，青蛙qīng wā常常cháng cháng想xiǎng：如果rú guǒ有yǒu一yī天tiān能néng跳tiào出chū这zhè口kǒu井jǐng，去qù看看kàn kan真正zhēn zhèng的de大海dà hǎi，那nà该gāi多duō好hào啊ā。

From then on the frog often thought: if only one day I could jump out of this well and see the real sea.

井jǐng底dǐ之zhī蛙wā这zhè个gè成语chéng yǔ，说shuō的de是shì眼界yǎn jiè很hěn小xiǎo，却què以为yǐ wéi自己zì jǐ什么shén me都dōu知道zhī dào的de人rén。

The frog in the well describes someone whose world is tiny, yet who believes they know everything.
