杯弓蛇影（详读本）

古gǔ时候shí hou，有yǒu一yī个gè叫jiào乐lè广guǎng的de人rén，他tā有yǒu一yī个gè好hào朋友péng you，常常cháng cháng到dào他tā家里jiā lǐ来lái喝hē酒jǐu。

In ancient times a man named Yue Guang had a good friend who often came to his house to drink wine.

有yǒu一yī天tiān，朋友péng you又yòu来lái喝hē酒jǐu。他tā刚gāng拿ná起qǐ酒jǐu杯bēi，忽然hū rán看见kàn jiàn杯子bēi zi里lǐ有yǒu一yī条tiáo小xiǎo蛇shé在zài游yóu动dòng。

One day the friend picked up his cup and suddenly saw a little snake swimming inside it.

他tā心里xīn li很hěn害怕hài pà，可是kě shì酒jǐu已经yǐ jīng端duān到dào嘴zuǐ边biān了liǎo，只好zhǐ hǎo硬yìng着zhuó头tóu皮pí把bǎ酒jǐu喝hē了liǎo下去xià qù。

He was terrified, but the wine was already at his lips, so he forced himself to drink it.

回家huí jiā以后yǐ hòu，朋友péng you总zǒng觉得jué de肚子dù zi里lǐ有yǒu一yī条tiáo蛇shé在zài动dòng，越yuè想xiǎng越yuè难受nán shòu，不久bù jǐu就jìu病bìng倒dào了liǎo，吃chī什么shén me药yào都dōu不bù好hào。

Back home he kept feeling a snake moving in his stomach. The more he thought about it the worse he felt, and soon he fell ill; no medicine helped.

乐lè广guǎng听说tīng shuō朋友péng you病bìng了liǎo，就jìu去qù看kān他tā，问wèn他tā为什么wèi shén me生病shēng bìng。朋友péng you把bǎ那nà天tiān喝hē酒jǐu看到kàn dào蛇shé的de事shì告诉gào su了liǎo他tā。

Yue Guang heard his friend was ill and visited him, asking why. The friend told him about the snake in the wine.

乐lè广guǎng回家huí jiā以后yǐ hòu，坐zuò在zài朋友péng you那nà天tiān坐zuò的de地方dì fāng，也yě倒dào了liǎo一yī杯bēi酒jǐu。他tā仔细zǐ xì一yī看kān，杯子bēi zi里lǐ果然guǒ rán有yǒu一yī条tiáo小xiǎo蛇shé的de影子yǐng zi。

Yue Guang went home, sat where his friend had sat, and poured a cup of wine. Looking carefully, he too saw a little snake in the cup.

他tā抬头tái tóu一yī看kān，墙qiáng上shàng挂guà着zhuó一yī张zhāng弓gōng，弓gōng的de影子yǐng zi正好zhèng hǎo落là在zài酒jǐu杯bēi里lǐ，像xiàng一yī条tiáo蛇shé一样yī yàng。

He looked up: a bow hung on the wall, and its shadow fell right into the cup, looking exactly like a snake.

乐lè广guǎng马上mǎ shàng把bǎ朋友péng you请qǐng来lái，让ràng他tā坐zuò在zài原来yuán lái的de地方dì fāng，又yòu倒dào了liǎo一yī杯bēi酒jǐu，指着zhǐ zhe杯子bēi zi问wèn他tā：你nǐ看kān这zhè是shì什么shén me？

Yue Guang at once invited his friend back, sat him in the same place, poured wine, and pointed at the cup: what do you see?

朋友péng you说shuō：又yòu是shì那nà条tiáo蛇shé！乐lè广guǎng笑xiào着zhuó把bǎ墙qiáng上shàng的de弓gōng取qǔ下来xià lai，杯子bēi zi里lǐ的de蛇shé立刻lì kè就jìu没有méi yǒu了liǎo。

The friend cried: the snake again! Smiling, Yue Guang took the bow off the wall, and the snake in the cup vanished at once.

朋友péng you这zhè才cái明白míng bai过来guò lái，心里xīn li一yī轻松qīng sōng，病bìng马上mǎ shàng就jìu好了hǎo le。这zhè个gè故事gù shi告诉gào su我们wǒ men：疑yí神shén疑yí鬼guǐ，只zhī会huì自己zì jǐ吓xià自己zì jǐ。

The friend finally understood; relieved, he recovered at once. The story tells us: groundless suspicion only frightens yourself.
